The Piedmont Triad — anchored by Greensboro and Winston-Salem — is one of North Carolina's strongest club and league tennis regions, built on a dense network of public parks facilities, well-established private clubs, and the elite collegiate program at Wake Forest University. In Greensboro, Bryan Park Tennis Center serves as the city's premier public tennis destination with 14 lighted hard courts and a robust schedule of USTA league matches and sanctioned tournaments. Greensboro Country Club and Starmount Forest Country Club anchor private club tennis in Guilford County, with active USTA league teams and year-round adult and junior programming. The Greensboro Tennis Association (GTA) coordinates one of the region's most active USTA Community Tennis Associations.
In Winston-Salem, Wake Forest University Demon Deacons (NCAA Division I, ACC) are the region's defining collegiate tennis presence, with nationally ranked men's and women's programs competing at the Kentner Stadium tennis complex — one of the finest dedicated collegiate tennis venues in the ACC. Old Town Club and Forsyth Country Club serve Winston-Salem's private club tennis community, while the Winston-Salem Tennis Association (WSTA) organizes USTA league play throughout Forsyth County.
Whether you are looking for competitive tournaments, organized doubles leagues, junior summer camps, or a private lesson, this area provides year-round tennis for players of every age and skill level.

Private and independent schools compete under the NCISAA.
