Tennis Clubs in DuPage & the Western Suburbs of Chicago
DuPage County and the surrounding Western Suburbs form one of the deepest tennis communities in the Midwest. The corridor runs from Naperville and Hinsdale through Wheaton, Oak Brook, Elmhurst, Glen Ellyn, and Lisle, with private clubs, park district facilities, and major indoor athletic clubs across all of them. The region is home to Hinsdale Central — the most decorated boys high school tennis program in IHSA history with 29 team state titles, including a four-peat from 2022 to 2025 — and to NCAA Division III powerhouses North Central College (Naperville) and Wheaton College in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW). Indoor tennis is heavily booked through the long Illinois winter, with adult league play running year-round across USTA Chicago District programs.
Western Suburbs Tennis Hubs
The Western Suburbs cluster around several distinct tennis hubs, each with its own mix of private clubs, park-district facilities, and high school feeder programs. Naperville and Hinsdale are the largest concentrations, while Wheaton, Oak Brook, Elmhurst, and Glen Ellyn anchor the central DuPage tennis ecosystem.

In a major change to the Western Suburbs racquet-sports landscape, Life Time Group Holdings acquired the Five Seasons Sports Club in Burr Ridge in 2025 and reopened it as Life Time Burr Ridge Sport and Racquet on April 22, 2025. The 154,000-square-foot facility on 15 acres at 6901 S. Madison St. remains open during a phased remodel and continues to offer both tennis and pickleball under the Life Time brand. Life Time also acquired the separate Five Seasons Northbrook location (Lake County), which closed for renovation and is being converted into Life Time North Shore Sport and Racquet — planned by Life Time as the nation's amateur and professional destination for the sport of pickleball.
Existing Five Seasons members were offered a Life Time Club-Only conversion path with their existing dues honored through the transformation period.
